But then again, now our domestic brands of motorcycles, in the large displacement products, although there is a good situation of a hundred flowers bloom, a hundred schools of thought contend, but the competition with imported brands or joint venture brands, mainly rely on price and displacement competition, which is equivalent to the same displacement model, I am lower than your price, the same price model, I am larger than your displacement, In terms of some core competitiveness, there is still a big gap between China's motorcycle production enterprises and foreign advanced motorcycle production enterprises, which is why we shout every day to cancel the city ban and cancel the 13 years of mandatory scrapping, but has been unable to do so. Because these two policies are actually protecting our motorcycle national industry. If our manufacturing technology of large-displacement motorcycles has been quite competitive, we may have long ago lifted the ban on motorcycles and canceled the mandatory scrapping of 13 years.


At present, what is the gap between China's motorcycle manufacturing technology and foreign enterprises? Briefly introduce a few aspects:


1, product design gap;


Foreign motorcycle manufacturing head brands have their own mature design and development software, databases and development processes, which can ensure that there are no irredeemable defects in motorcycle design, and will retain their own advanced nature in some aspects, so that their product design has obvious brand genes. Like Piaggio's Vespa, in fact, this brand of car is not much advanced compared to Honda's technology, or even worse. But in the iron shell retro scooter, this car has an absolute advantage, not to say the domestic imitation brand, even Honda in this regard is also admit defeat, will not challenge the authority of Vespa in this respect, and Vespa has created a culture, let many people follow. This also tells domestic brands that differentiated competition can be carried out, but blindly imitating is absolutely no way out!


2, the gap in processing accuracy;


In terms of medium and large displacement engines, if the domestic performance wants to perform better, it must also use imported or joint venture brand core components, such as crankshaft tiles, clutches, timing chains, bearings, etc., and even rubber parts such as oil seals and belts. At present, the domestic high-performance machine tools are basically imported from Germany, the United States, Japan, and the self-sufficiency rate of high-end CNC machine tools is less than 10%, and is subject to strict restrictions. Although China continues to increase investment in research and development of high-end machine tools, the accuracy and service life of domestic machine tools are far from the same level in the world.


3, the gap in the EFI system;


Efi system belongs to the core competitiveness of a brand, therefore, almost all internationally renowned motorcycle brands have their own EFI system or cooperative EFI system. For example, Honda's PGGM FI EFI system, in fact, the hardware is also produced by supporting manufacturers, but the ECU program is controlled by Honda itself, Honda began to develop its own EFI system as early as the 1980s, and accumulated a large amount of data, so Honda's EFI system is the current motorcycle EFI system, a very good system. Is Honda definitely not supporting the outside world, you see Honda lock will be sold to the Great Yangtze River, but the electric spray system will be sold?


4, in the stable supply of parts;


Any manufacturer, not all the accessories are their own production, but the international well-known motorcycle brands have their own stable parts suppliers, these suppliers have close cooperation with the brand side, to ensure the stability of their product quality, as well as the recall and compensation problems after the problem, and our domestic brands in this respect and their gap is still very large.


The above are some of the main gaps I understand, of course, in a word, or in terms of core technology and competitiveness, we have a big gap with imported brands. Hope that domestic brands abandon the impetuous psychology, down to earth, catch up with intentions, catch up with or even catch up with foreign brands as soon as possible, so that we can see the city motorcycle lifting the ban, cancel the 13 years of compulsory scrapping hope!
