2. The engine overheats due to poor heat dissipation.


The reasons for this situation are mostly such as the cylinder, cylinder cover with mud, oil, etc.; There is also a case that a motorcycle with an air-cooled engine, although the engine is running at high speed when the clutch slides, the speed is not high, which greatly reduces the cooling capacity.


In this regard, the mud should be removed in time, and the clutch friction plate should be adjusted or replaced. Due to the reason of the clutch slipping the engine overheats, the following phenomena will occur in the motorcycle driving: when the motorcycle starts, the clutch grip is relaxed, the engine speed is increased, but the car is moving slowly forward; Increase the throttle when going uphill, if the engine speed increases, but the power is significantly lower than usual, it indicates that the engine overheating is caused by the clutch slipping.



3. Overheating due to improper fuel mixing ratio.


When the gasoline engine lubricating oil is too little, all kinds of friction parts can not be well lubricated, the wear of parts accelerates, and the cylinder temperature rises sharply; When the lubricating oil in the fuel is excessive, the carbon accumulation increases due to insufficient combustion, resulting in poor heat dissipation performance and increased engine temperature. When these conditions are found, the fuel should be replaced or the lubricating oil pump adjusted.


4. Overheating due to improper use of gasoline.


If the octane number is too low or the gasoline is stored for too long and deteriorated, it will cause the engine to knock and burn, resulting in an increase in the working temperature in the cylinder, causing the engine to overheat. When the engine fuel system and ignition system are normal, the test can be carried out by replacing the new gasoline, if the overheating phenomenon disappears, it indicates that the use of gasoline is not appropriate.




5. Overheating due to improper concentration of combustible mixture.


When the combustible mixture is too thin, when it burns in the cylinder, the flame propagation speed slows down, resulting in a long combustion process and an increase in cylinder temperature; When the combustible mixture is too strong, the combustion is insufficient, resulting in detonation and carbon deposition, and the cylinder temperature will also rise. In view of the above situation, the carburetor should be adjusted in time.


6. Overheating due to ignition too early or too late.


The ignition time is too early, the combustion time is prolonged, resulting in the cylinder and cylinder head heating time is prolonged, resulting in engine overheating; Ignition time is too late, the combustion is delayed, so that the exhaust temperature increases and causes the engine to overheat.



7. The muffler is overheated due to carbon blockage.


If the carbon deposit of the muffler is serious, the exhaust gas is blocked, and the engine working load can also cause overheating, the carbon deposit should be removed in time.


8. Overheating due to high compression ratio.


When the combustion chamber carbon accumulation is serious or the cylinder cover pad is too thin, the cylinder volume will be reduced, and the compression ratio will be increased, resulting in engine overheating. In this case, carbon deposits should be removed or cylinder pads replaced.



It must be noted that when the overheated engine stops fire, in order to prevent the cylinder from sticking, the driver must step on the starting lever more than ten times (such as starting action), but do not open the main power switch, when the engine feels easy to run, it means that the hidden danger of sticking cylinder has been eliminated.
