The 150 level scooter is one of the most competitive models in the domestic market. Today, I borrowed four representative middleweight pedals for comparative test drive, they are Honda PCX, Yamaha NMAX, Haujou UHR, and Secron RT1, among which the first three pedals are used by friends. RT1 is a new car borrowed from Mr. Liu, the agent of Jiangxi Saikelong. No one is perfect and no car is complete. I will try my best to show you the objective comparison and difference between the four cars.
I have a comparison table of price and technical parameters, you can see by yourself, I first compare from the brand, Honda PCX, Yamaha NMAX these two models belong to the global, the brand is not to say, the product is rich in gold, PCX is a joint venture, NMAX is imported, in fact, from the other hand, it shows the focus of the two brands and helpless, The PCX joint venture is due to Honda's strong domestic joint venture and Honda's glocalization manufacturing layout, which can directly reduce costs and guarantee product supply. Yamaha NMAX imports from Indonesia, because the domestic joint venture is not successful, so it simply imports from Southeast Asia, which can not only increase the production of Indonesia, but also supply to China without tariffs. The profit may have nothing to do with the domestic joint venture.
And Haojue UHR copied from Honda's previous generation PCX150, coupled with Haojue's quality control, strong sales system, naturally become the head position of domestic middleweight pedal, but also reflects Haojue although in quality management and sales system has advantages, but in the process of transformation to the high-end products, lack of technology accumulation and innovation courage, This for the majority of Mo friends and even Haojue dealers criticized.
The reason why RT1 of Secelon is a representative entry is that RT1 inherits the design language and gene of the Secelon RT family, has a high degree of original model design, higher technical content than 150 similar products in China, and has strong competitiveness, which has attracted high attention and recognition from competitive products in the market.
In terms of appearance, Honda PCX and Haojue UHR belong to the same type of model, which is biased towards urban commuting and leisure travel, with a longer body, while NMAX and RT1 also belong to the same type of model, with three minutes of commuting and seven minutes of sports, with a relatively short body. PCX, NMAX and RT1 are original in appearance and have their own system. Compared with UHR, they lose a lot of points in this respect.
In terms of power, PCX and RT1 are four-valve water-cooled engines, and NMAX is variable four-valve water-cooled engines. The UHR is a two-valve water-cooled engine. This is directly reflected in the midsection acceleration of the engine. In my tests of all four, the PCX performed well, with the best vibration suppression, and the Yamaha had strong acceleration but also a lot of starting shake. RT1 is a new car, no addition and modification, so the vibration control is good, the acceleration performance in the middle section is also excellent, the overall performance of Haojue UHR is the most meat, after 70 yards, to throttle to the end of the speed slowly rise.
The PCX is equipped with a storage box in front of it. The seat bucket has the largest capacity and can put down a full helmet. There's plenty of room. The front of the NMAX features two storage bins, one covered and one uncovered. The bucket could fit a full helmet, but there wasn't much room. There is a storage box in front of the UHR which is the same as the previous generation of PCX150. Because of the high air intake designed in the seat bucket, only one half helmet can be put down. However, there is no storage box designed in front of the RT1. In terms of storage function, RT1 is the worst, but because of its appearance and vehicle sports style, the bold design of RT1 is respected.
Of course, the insufficient capacity of the seat drum may be made up by installing a tailbox. Therefore, PCX, NMAX and UHR are all equipped with tailboxes. However, due to the design deviation of the center of gravity of the whole vehicle or the weight of the tailbox, PCX and NMAX are not swayed when riding at about 40 yards (professional operation, imitation of danger). The UHR has a serious wobble.
In terms of paint and workmanship, Haojue UHR is obviously not inferior to PCX and NMAX. Quality control is indeed the strength of Haojue. Compared with the first three models, RT1 is slightly inferior.
In terms of seat height and sitting position, NMAX has the highest seat height, but it is also the most comfortable sitting position. PCX is similar to UHR, and RT1 has the lowest seat height, only 755 mm. It is very friendly for short riders.
In terms of configuration, PCX, NMAX and RT1 are equipped with TCS at the same speed system, while UHR has no configuration. PCX is only equipped with single-channel front ABS. The other three cars are front and rear dual-channel ABS. Among these four cars, the most abundant configuration is RT1. This one is a smart version, and I can't play with many functions. Maybe young people like it most, but for my age, it is unnecessary.
Finally, the comparison of fuel consumption, I asked the real fuel consumption of the three owners in use, PCX is about 2.1L, NMAX is about 2.4L, UHR is about 2.4L, RT1 is a new car, the fuel consumption has not been measured, I will not say the data, but because the RT1 engine has been implanted with Piaggio technology, the engine has a high compression ratio. The power press is extreme, so the inferred fuel consumption will be relatively higher.
