Triumph today officially launched its Tiger 1200 Adventure Tiger series, which is available in China in three versions: 1200 GT PRO, 1200 GT Explorer, 1200 Rally Explorer;
In the official press conference, Triumph staff mainly introduced the weight reduction part of the new Tiger 1200 in this upgrade. The new big Tiger lost 25KG in this update compared with the previous generation model. It features a new lightweight main frame, aluminum subframe, and a new Tri-Link rear rocker arm with 1.5 kg less weight and better performance.
In terms of engine optimization, the 2022 Tiger 1200 is quite different from the current European system to increase the displacement corresponding regulations. The displacement is reduced from 1215cc to 1160cc. In compliance with the new emissions regulations, power and torque actually increased.
Maximum horsepower increased from 141ps/9350rpm to 150ps (110kW) /9000rpm, and maximum torque increased from 122N·m/7600rpm to 130N·m/7000rpm. The Triumph Tiger 1200 also has a shaft drive system.
The new Tiger is powered by a smarter Showa semi-active electronic suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers for braking, Magura HC1 direct push pump, and Magura HC1 hydraulic clutch upper pump for the left hand clutch.

The new TIGER 1200 has 18-inch rear wheels, which offer better passability and a wider choice of tires than 17-inch rear wheels.
The GT series uses 19-inch wheels for road handling, while the RALLY Series comes standard with 21-inch front wheels for off-road capability.
