On June 18, the motorcycle industry presented many new products and highlights, and the social "new favorite" motorcycle drove the online consumption of spare parts, equipment and so on to accelerate. Overall turnover of motorcycles increased by 106%, motorcycle helmets by 202% and motorcycle equipment by 280%. Although sales declined in May due to the impact of the epidemic, the future prospects of the motorcycle industry are still promising.

In May, China's motorcycle industry gradually overcome the impact of the epidemic, production and sales have recovered, production and sales rose significantly, year-on-year in a downward trend, the decline. From the current point of view, raw material costs, international freight is high, consumer demand decline and other factors in the short term is difficult to be effectively reversed, this year the motorcycle industry is still facing greater pressure.

01 Production and sales

In May, the whole industry completed the production and sales of 1.843 million motorcycles and 1.8623 million motorcycles, with a sequential increase of 6.32% and 4.94%, and a year-on-year decrease of 10.42% and 8.84%.

Among them, the production and sales of two-wheeled motorcycles were 1,625,700 and 1,642,500, with a sequential increase of 4.34% and 2.59%, and a year-on-year decrease of 10.62% and 9.23%.

The production and sales of three-wheeled motorcycles totaled 217,200 units and 219,700 units, up 23.85% and 26.86% from the previous month, and down 8.95% and 5.85% from the previous year.

The production and sales of fuel motorcycles were 1,207,800 and 1,196,200, with a sequential increase of 18.92% and 9.39%, and a year-on-year decrease of 13.42% and 13.15.

The production and sales of electric motorcycles reached 635,100 units and 666,100 units, down 11.52% and 2.21% month-on-month. Production decreased 4.11% year on year, sales increased 0.08% year on year. (Due to the adjustment of some electric motorcycle data, there is a certain difference between the data of this period and the previous period)

From January to May, the top ten enterprises (groups) in sales volume of fuel motorcycles are Dchangjiang, Longxin, Zongshen, New Continent Honda, Chongqing Dechengwei, Wuyang-Honda, Luoyang North, Guangzhou Dayun, Daye and Qingqi Suzuki. It sold 792,500, 495,300, 416,200, 307,800, 292,300, 261,200, 245,700, 210,300, 175,200 and 174,100 cars, respectively.

From January to May, the industry produced and sold 8.546 million motorcycles and 8.6821 million motorcycles, down 17.08% and 15.81% year-on-year.

Among them, the production and sales of two-wheeled motorcycles reached 7.6283 million and 7.756 million, down 17.49% and 16.21% year-on-year.

The production and sales of three-wheeled motorcycles reached 917,800 units and 926,000 units, down 13.54% and 12.31% year-on-year.

The production and sales of fuel motorcycles reached 5.6302 million and 5.718 million, down 16.02% and 15.18% year-on-year.

The production and sales of electric motorcycles totaled 2,915,800 and 2,964,100, down 19.06 and 16.99 percent year-on-year.

From January to May, the top 10 enterprises (groups) in electric motorcycle sales are Yadi Technology Group, Zhejiang Luyuan, Dongguan Tailing, Jiangsu Xinri, Zongshen Group, Huaihai, Jinyi, Lewo, Baishi New Energy, Longxin, It sold 1,878,200, 267,500, 260,000, 165,100, 114,800, 63,000, 45,600, 36,700, 31,900 and 20,200 units, respectively.

02 Export Status

In May, China's motorcycle exports have recovered, with a slight increase from the previous month and still in a downward trend compared with the same period last year. At present, China's motorcycle export is still facing greater pressure, international logistics, raw material costs of the rise of enterprises have a greater impact. But with the introduction of steady foreign trade measures, smooth industry chain, supply chain, is expected to be further good in the second half of China's motorcycle foreign trade.

1-5 month, motorcycle exports of the top 10 enterprises in the order: longcin, grand river, zongshen, new continents Honda, daye, DE wei, chongqing lifan, three graces, the universiade, mansion apricot, the ten enterprises export 2.0431 million, accounts for 62.85% of the motorcycle exports, accounting for an increase of about 5% compared with the same period last year.

In May, the total exports of motorcycles were 638,400 units, up 4.09% month-on-month and down 15.25% year-on-year. The export value was $438 million, up 1.7% from the previous month and down 5.43% year on year.

Among them, the export of two-wheeled motorcycles was 598,800 units, with a sequential increase of 3.83% and a year-on-year decrease of 16.15%. The export of three-wheeled motorcycles was 39,600 units, up 8.13% from the previous month and down 11.03% year on year.

From January to May, the total export volume of motorcycle production enterprises was $2.873 billion, up 1.03% year on year. The export volume of finished vehicles was 3.2507 million, down 12.12% year on year. The export value was $2.278 billion, up 0.19% year on year. The export of motorcycle engines was 40,500 units, down 30.13% year on year. The export value was 91 million US dollars, up 1.92% year on year. Atv exports were 160,500 units, down 18.96% year on year, and export value was $367 million, up 12.09% year on year. The export value of motorcycle parts was 137 million US dollars, down 10.67% year-on-year.
