Electric wave has become an irresistible trend in recent years, in the international market, many well-known brands are trying to establish a firm footing in the future of the new generation, to make the pie bigger
In April 2019, four major Japanese companies -- Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha -- officially announced an alliance to share specifications and technology research and development, and later announced the adoption of power changing as the future development direction of the system. On March 1, 2021, the news of the alliance is the cooperation plan between European and Japanese brands. Currently, Honda, Yamaha, KTM and Piaggio have confirmed the cooperation, and officially released this news through a press release
Honda, Yamaha, KTM and Piaggio all said in a press release: "Under the current climate agreement, alliance members believe that the development of a standardized, replaceable electrical system will help electric locomotives become widely accepted and manage longer battery life."
At present, the Alliance will develop standardized specifications for replaceable batteries, providing four different types of battery specifications for light locomotives, motorcycles, tricycles and four-wheelers. It will cooperate closely with relevant industries, national governments and international standardization agencies, and actively participate in the formulation of electric vehicle specifications by governments of various countries
This alliance between Europe and Japan mainly hopes to encourage governments of many countries to adopt the same standard of electricity changing system through the influence of big brands, so as to reduce the charging problem faced by the public after buying electric cars and make the use more convenient. For the brand, it can reduce the cost, and there is no need to create special car models because of different regulations in different countries, which can effectively reduce the production cost
