1. Time point of maintenance

A. In the case of normal daily commuting and cycling on urban roads and without sediment, cleaning and maintenance should be done at a time of about 3000 kilometers

B. If go out to play mud, there is obvious sediment, it is recommended to come back immediately rinse off the sediment, dry and then on the lubricating oil

C. If chain oil is lost after driving at high speed or in rainy days, maintenance is also recommended

D. If the chain has accumulated a layer of oil, it should be cleaned and maintained immediately

2. Chain adjustment

Confirm the condition of the chain and the proper tightness (depending on the vehicle type) when it is 1000 ~ 2000 km. Tension adjustment is required if it is exceeded

The optimum value for general vehicles is about 25~35mm. But whether it is a general road car or off-road vehicle, the suitable degree of tightness of each car is different. Be sure to refer to the vehicle's instruction manual to adjust for the most appropriate tightness

Note:

Not too loose, not too tight. If the tightness of the chain is not appropriate, the chain may fall off the tooth disc, causing the rear wheel to get stuck

If the chain is too tight, it will also affect the normal operation of the vehicle. At this time, it will bear too much tension and cause the chain to break

3. Chain cleaning

If you do it yourself, bring your own tools: chain cleaner, towel, brush, and sink

After hanging in neutral, manually turn the wheel slowly (do not run in low gear, it is easy to injure fingers), and spray the cleaning agent on it. To avoid spilling detergent on other parts, please cover with a towel. In addition, when a large amount of cleaning agent is sprayed, please place the sink below

If there is stubborn dirt, please use a brush to clean the dirt. The steel brush may damage the chain, so do not use it. Even if you use a soft brush, it may damage the oil seal. Please use it with caution. After scrubbing the chain with a brush, please wipe it clean with a towel

4. Lubrication of chain

When the oil seal chain is being lubricated, please use the chain oil containing the lubricating component and the oil seal protection component. When lubricating oil is sprayed, please prepare the following tools: chain oil, towel, sink

In order to allow the chain oil to penetrate into the gap of each chain, please turn the wheel slowly with a distance of 3 ~ 10cm each time and spray the chain oil evenly. To avoid touching other parts, please cover with towel. In case of excessive spraying, please place the sink below for centralized collection and treatment. After the chain is evenly sprayed with chain oil, use a towel to wipe off excess oil

5. Chain replacement time

The oil seal chain is in good condition, about 20,000 kilometers, non-oil seal chain is about 5,000 kilometers, it is recommended to replace. When changing the chain, be sure to confirm the style of the chain and whether there is an oil seal (the above distance is in good condition of the chain, according to the car type, style conditions and the condition of the equipment is different)

What happens when a chain is stretched?

Commonly known as "chain elongation", in fact, it is not that the inner and outer chain pieces are gradually stretched, but the constant friction between the pins and the rollers, resulting in the gap between the shaft casing and the internal pins. As the gap gets longer, the "chain gets longer.

What is chain lengthening? !

1 mesh even if only 0.1mm abrasion, 100 mesh: 0.1mm x 100 = 1cm, will be stretched 1cm

If the chain is stretched:

A. Handling and riding experience will be reduced

B. Gas consumption will increase

C. Chain noise will increase

6. Check in regularly

Wear is not easily detectable, so check the condition of the chain regularly. If the chain exceeds the limit of use, even if the chain length is adjusted, the bad condition cannot be improved.
